ศูนย์วิทยาศาสตร์ข้าว ม.เกษตรศาสตร์ จัดเวิร์กชอป “Practical Tools for GWAS in Crop Improvement” ร่วมพัฒนาศักยภาพนักวิจัยพืช
เมื่อวันที่ 6 มิถุนายน 2568 รศ. ดร.ศิวเรศ อารีกิจ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์วิทยาศาสตร์ข้าว กล่าวเปิดกิจกรรมอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการเรื่อง “Practical Tools for GWAS in Crop Improvement” จัดโดยศูนย์วิทยาศาสตร์ข้าว และ สวทช. ณ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ วิทยาเขตกำแพงแสน จ.นครปฐม เพื่อถ่ายทอดองค์ความรู้ด้านการวิเคราะห์พันธุกรรมพืช (GWAS) และเครื่องมือชีวสารสนเทศสำหรับการปรับปรุงพันธุ์พืชอย่างแม่นยำ
การอบรมครั้งนี้ได้รับเกียรติจากวิทยากรผู้เชี่ยวชาญ ได้แก่ Dr. Stefan Jouannic นักวิจัยอาวุโสจากสถาบันวิจัยแห่งชาติฝรั่งเศสเพื่อการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน (IRD) เมืองมงต์เปลิเยร์ ประเทศฝรั่งเศส ดร.สามารถ วันชะนะ และ ดร.วศิน ผลชีวิน นักวิจัย สำนักงานพัฒนาวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งชาติ (สวทช.)
กิจกรรมเริ่มต้นด้วยการบรรยายเรื่อง “Promoting rice diversity through GWAS: illustration by panicle architecture” โดย Dr. Stefan Jouannic ตามด้วยหัวข้อ “NGS to SNP” และ “GWAS and QTL-seq” โดย Dr. Samart Wanchana จากนั้นในช่วงบ่ายผู้เข้าร่วมได้ร่วมกิจกรรมเวิร์กชอปแบบลงมือปฏิบัติจริงในหัวข้อ Hands-on GWAS analysis ซึ่งครอบคลุมเนื้อหาเกี่ยวกับการใช้โปรแกรม R การสร้างแผนภูมิต้นไม้สายวิวัฒนาการ (Phylogenetic tree) การวิเคราะห์โครงสร้างประชากร และการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูล GWAS โดยมีผู้สนใจจำนวนมากลงทะเบียเต็มเข้าร่วมทั้งสิ้น 35 คน

Kasetsart University & NSTDA Member Hub of Rice Hosts Workshop on Practical Tools for GWAS in Crop Improvement
On June 6, 2025, the Rice Science Center, Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Nakhon Pathom, organized a hands-on workshop titled “Workshop on Practical Tools for GWAS in Crop Improvement.” The event aimed to enhance research capacity in genetic analysis and bioinformatics tools for crop improvement among plant scientists and researchers.
The workshop featured two prominent experts in the field:
Dr. Stefan Jouannic, Senior Scientist from the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD), Montpellier, France
Dr. Samart Wanchana, Researcher at the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Thailand
The morning sessions included lectures on:
“Promoting rice diversity through GWAS: illustration by panicle architecture” by Dr. Stefan Jouannic
“NGS to SNP” and “GWAS and QTL-seq” by Dr. Samart Wanchana
In the afternoon, participants engaged in a hands-on session covering:
Brief introduction to R
Phylogenetic tree construction
